Searching for the Loch Ness Monster | Expedition X | Discovery

There is a huge, huge dust cloud. Wow, look
how still everything is right now. It is
not moving naturally from the water,
meaning something must have stirred up
the bottom of the lake right here. And
also, it’s gone. It’s not on the sonar.
What would make that?
I don’t know. I mean, I guess conceivably, it could just be a
big fish that was hunting down there and
they kicked it all up, but the whole
reason we went here was that strange sound
on the hydrophone, right in this spot.
Look at the depth right here, about 15 m.
I can dive that. I’m going to get my dive
gear. I’m going to get in, hand out the
controls to you. I’ll gear up. Come on,
Nessy.

Almost at 13 m, so that’s about 36 ft.
I see you on

All I’m seeing is the darkness of Loch Ness.

I’m now in the spot where the dust
cloud was. Whatever made that dust cloud had to
have been
big. I found some kind of slope. A slope.
We’re not even on the edge of the
loch. My visibility isn’t great, but I
think I found a trench. If this is what I
think it is, it would be the perfect
hideout for a large creature.
Uh, yeah, perfect for a disappearance act.

Keep to the side of the trench and don’t lose
your orientation.
Any sign of what we were
chasing on that sonar?
No sign yet, but
this potential trench descends pretty
deep. I still haven’t hit the
bottom.

think I saw something out of the corner
of my eye.

I don’t know, but I thought I saw something
move, and it wasn’t
small.

It’s not on the
sonar. I’m not seeing anything on the ROV
either. I don’t know. Like I said,
visibility is really bad down here.
I really felt like something was down here
with me. I’m not seeing it now.
