Secrets of the Sacred Cenotes | Expedition X | Discovery

is Ardo Castillo a cave Dive Master and
member of the Mexican Government task force
that explores newly discovered caves in the Yucatan

10 years ago he and his team were the first ever to dive here
but only mapped a fraction of this massive cavern
we’ll be the first to return and the very first TV camera crew
allowed inside our plan is to explore much more of the site

so what’s the game plan I guess how are we getting in there
we’re going to uh down by the rle
you want to put the harness and we’re going to download

Al wow these birds are l oh wasp
you know what is great right now we have
this fleet of swallows protecting us from all the wasps
thank you guys and those birds

it’s possible their sounds could be mistaken
for the human voices people hear in the caves
that goes pretty deep then look at this
there’s beams here too and an old ladder

I mean this looks like something from Indiana Jones
oh yeah I wonder if this makeshift ladder means
that there’s been unauthorized access maybe even looters
looking for a score

trying to catch the so-called phantom voices
that people claim they’ve heard here

okay everybody said all right let’s do this
I’ll explore under the water looking for any animals
or perhaps the recent remains of an animal
that could have made the sounds people think are disembodied voices

maybe it was the cave swallows we saw earlier
but I have to investigate all possibilities

hola is there anyone here
or around the cave that would like to talk with

unreal the geological formations are incredible
there’s some really big stalactites

it’s like another world down here
have people come in here without getting permission
did that anger you
has anyone disturbed your sacred artifacts
