From the use of some of the best equipment
available to learn what may be beneath the
surface of this mysterious island to the
discovery of several chambers or tunnels
that may lead to the treasure that is hidden on
this mysterious island, here’s how Marty Lagina
opened a cave that was sealed for millions of
years! You won’t believe what they found there.
As ever, the search for the elusive treasure
that is rumored to be hidden on this remote
spot located off the southern shores of Nova
Scotia continues as the Lagina brothers continue
to scour every inch of the mysterious Oak
Island. For almost two decades now, Rick and
Marty Lagina have attempted to succeed where many
others have failed for more than 200 years now.
Although so far they’ve met the same level of
failure that their predecessors have had to
stomach, something tells us that these guys may
not quit until they uncover the ultimate secret
that is rumored to be hidden on this strange
treasure hunting spot. Now, it looks like they
may be inching closer to success as the Curse of
Oak Island team have made an outstanding discovery
in recent weeks. Apparently, Rick Lagina has
recently broken through a cave that has been
sealed for millions of years. What’s even
more incredible about the discovery of this
strange cave is not its presence, but what was
discovered inside. Could it be the treasure that
is rumored to be hidden on this mystical island?
Apparently, this discovery was so captivating,
so frightening, that it had the Curse of Oak
Island team wondering if they should actually
go ahead with the search for the treasure on the
island. What could they have found in this cave?
All this occurred following the completion of
the mission to collect new sonar data from the
Money Pit, one of the most important landmarks
when it comes to the search for this treasure
on Oak Island. When the team went through
the data, they realized that they had just
come across evidence that there were man made
buildings somewhere around 150 feet beneath the
island’s surface. It seemed as though a good
number of them were located within a cavern
known as Aladdin’s Cave. As you can imagine,
this was an exciting discovery for the team,
especially as they had Steve, a specialist in
merging data. This is important because this will
help them create a complete 3D picture of the
underground structure that they had discovered
beneath Aladdin’s cave. With this 3D map, the team
will now be able to get some insights into the
events and activities that may have occurred
in the Money Pit area. After some analysis,
they found that they may want to focus on an area
that was located about 106 feet below the Money
Pit area. With any luck, this scan will help
them get some more information about how the
previous treasure hunters may have approached the
excavations that they performed while they were
in search for the treasure that is rumored to
be hidden somewhere on this captivating island.
While looking through the sonar data that was
collected to make this 3D map, a stroke of fortune
occurred when Marty Lagina noticed an interesting
piece of information. This discovery came in the
shape of a wall that made its way along one
side of the cavern in Aladdin’s Cave. As one
can imagine, this created an exciting prospect for
the team. Once the news spread across the team,
fresh ideas began to form. One that seemed to
be rather interesting to the scientists and the
researchers in the team was that those man-made
features that they came across down there may
be there because someone deliberately tried to
bury their treasure down there. Understandably,
this is one of the most important discoveries
that the team has made in recent times.
It didn’t take long for the team to come
to the conclusion that Aladdin’s Cave was
used by those who were looking to bury their
treasure on the island as a storage location
for their precious treasures or artifacts.
While the team also considered that these
treasures may have been stored there by some
previous residents or visitors to the island,
there is no denying that these recently
developed theories that were concocted
thanks to the recently discovered clues
adds another dimension to this treasure
hunting mystery. If anything, it may tell us
that this island was definitely used by those
looking to participate in some secret
schemes to hide treasure in the past.
Understandably, this made the team excited as they
now had the chance to analyze these clues that
they had just discovered. Unfortunately, they had
to wait for Steve to complete the compilation of
the 3D map before they could carry out any further
investigations into their recent discoveries.
Hoping to stay occupied, the team decided to spend
this time waiting for Steve to complete his work
by pondering on how and why these underground
structures were located in Aladdin’s cave. Is
it actually possible that the cavern was used as a
storage facility for ancient artifacts or valuable
treasure? could these caves just be the entrance
to a deeper chamber that could prove to be even
larger than the one they had just discovered?
Whatever the case may be, it is clear that the
team was eager to learn the truth about what may
be located deep within the surface of Oak Island.
Now that they are aware of the cave, the
team realized that they must find a way
to make it into the cave, especially as this
may be the last clue that they may need if
they were going to come across the treasure
that may be hidden on this mysterious island.
Considering the mission that they had ahead of
themselves, the team realized that they needed
to perform some more digging exercises. They
also realized that it may be best to do this
with a camera because it would help them film
their findings. Imagine filming the exact moment
that they come across the mysterious treasure
of Oak Island down there in Aladdin’s Cave.
With this in mind, Rick Lagina and Craig Tester
decided to take over the operations that were
taking place at the Money Pit. Before long,
they were joined by Scott Barlow and the Dumas
Contracting Limited employees who were going
to help them with the excavation operations on
the island. Apparently, the first thing on the
agenda for these guys was to address persistent
problems that the team was having in the Garden
Shaft area, another important landmark in this
search for the treasure that is believed to be
hidden on this island. Unfortunately, they had
no idea of what to do with the constant flooding
that they were experiencing there. It had already
been a hindrance to many of the earlier excavation
operations that had taken place there in the past.
Once the workers got to work on this
problem, they decided to tackle it by
focusing on one specific region that they
believed to be the source of the flood.
This was because this was the point where water
was seeping into the shaft. Annoyingly however,
it almost seemed impossible to stop the
flow of this water as it continued to
seep into the shaft despite the team’s
best efforts. As such, it was clear that
the guys were truly in for a hard time when
it came to tackling this flooding problem.
Despite having to deal with such a persistent
problem, the team was fortunate enough to come
across a surprising discovery. Apparently, as
the workers from the Dumas Contracting Company
Ltd were attempting to find the exact source
of this flooding water, they came across a
hidden cavern that was located about 65 feet deep
outside the structure. Upon further investigation,
the team realized how important this
discovery was because they noticed
the wooden beams that were located within the
cave. This told them that it was possible that
there was a massive man made chamber located
somewhere underneath the island’s surface.
Understandably, this was the source of much shock
and surprise to the other members of the team when
they learned of their most recent discovery.
How many caverns are present down there? Is
it possible that this particular tunnel
could lead them to the treasure that they
and many others have been searching for over
the last 200 years or so? As you can imagine,
the team was in jovial spirits as they managed
to make the most of the persistent flooding
issue that they had been having for a while
now. With any luck, they may be able to get
some very important clues which would help them
with this 229 year treasure hunting mission.
As promising as this prospect may be for the
team, they had to deal with the persistent
flooding issue before they could redirect their
attention to anything else. The flooding is too
important to ignore as it would be too problematic
to any future excavations that they were hoping
to perform in that area. Despite this issue, one
would find that the team seemed to be filled with
a refreshing sense of eagerness and anticipation
as they set out to tackle their problems.
Once they returned to the Money Pit area,
they decided to get involved in two separate
operations there. This was because they believed
that this would help them bring an end to one of
the island’s most persistent mysteries. As
they set off on this two part operation,
they were joined by Blaine Carr, an underwater
imaging specialist. Once he joined them,
