"Exclusive: American Pickers' Mike Wolfe's $300k Mansion Rental for Fans Amid Business Struggles!"

Mike, 60, owns two Lan’s guest houses, with one location in Columbia, Tennessee, and he has been updating fans on the renovations for his second location in Laclair, AA. The US Sun can exclusively reveal details on the vacation rental that will be available for rent soon. Mike dropped $300,000 on the 2,142 sq. ft, two-story home in his hometown of Lair VOA in December 2021, according to property records. The home was built in 1880 and boasts three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Mike has been showing off photos of the house on his social media as he is currently renovating the space.
The front room has hardwood floors and a traditional-style fireplace. Earlier this week, Mike gave an update on the room as he added an antique photo above the fireplace mantel, some antiques on the shelves, and a new chandelier. He wrote on the photo, “La Clair yaoa at ting his guest house coming together.” In December, Mike captioned a photo of the room: “Been over at the at toolings Guest House in L Clair aawa, ordering lighting and buttoning up some details. Next comes the really fun part of furnishing this place. I’ve always done a heavy mix of old and new, obviously a little heavier on the old. I love to create little moments in the big picture that evoke memories. That’s the magic to me. I usually start with a Pinterest board to fire up my engine on a project.”
Mike also owns a vacation rental in Columbia, Tennessee. The lodging features one bedroom with a king bed, a couch that pulls out to a queen bed, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a washer and dryer. The space is filled with antiques picked by Mike himself. A description of the rental on the website reads, “This is the first time that fans of American Pickers get to see picks from the show that Mike has pulled out of barns and sheds across America, presented as a tour.”
The entire one-bedroom loft is located above a bicycle shop inside a two-story brick building dating back to 1857. The loft measures about 1,100 sq. ft, which for Mike, was the perfect size to showcase his own one-of-a-kind American style. Guests will appreciate how Mike has integrated items of different vintages and locales to create one cohesive look. The incorporation of natural pieces like antlers and bison sculptures partner well with the more industrial rusted picks. Intentionally placed vintage signs delineate and organize spaces, like the hand-painted wooden sign outside the bedroom, which reads “Rooms for Tourists,” or the double-sided turquoise City Cafe sign picked in Alabama and now hanging over the kitchen island. The description also notes a mint green 1951 Vespa for guests to have Instagrammable moments.
Mike said of the space on the website, “There’s so much to see and experience here. I wanted to create a space that allowed visitors to experience the charms of staying on Main Street in a small town. One of my favorite things is to look outside the 13th window at the 1905 courthouse and hear the clock in the tower on top of it chime every hour. You can walk downstairs into the street and see the shopkeepers preparing to open for the day. You can even smell the biscuits and bacon Pucket’s is cooking up for breakfast.”
The American Picker star charges $275 a night from Friday to Sunday and $200 a night from Monday to Thursday. During holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, the price is $425 a night. Additional fees include a $100 cleaning fee, $25 per person if more than two guests stay at the location, a 14.25% lodging tax, and a security deposit. Similar earned rentals and hotels in the area go for under $200. The high prices may have deterred customers from booking, as online availability shows February only had one booking from Saturday, February 25 to Wednesday, February 27. March has just eight unavailable days for the month. As for April, four customers booked the rental for the month. In May, it is only booked from the 23rd to the 25th and on the 30th. June has two bookings.
The US Sun previously reported Mike purchased seven commercial properties in Columbia, Tennessee, just 46 miles from Nashville, to help bring business and tourists to the small town. A source told the US Sun the project is costing $93 million. The town is happy Mike is taking this on to help bring new life to Columbia. In addition to the vacation rental, Mike also owns a bike shop, Columbia Motor Alley, is working on opening a new restaurant, and is a landlord to multiple businesses.
