Bethenny Frankel poses in front of her daughter Bryn’s new light-pink Ford Bronco which was her 16th birthday gift.
Bethenny Frankel’s daughter Bryn, 16, is ready to hit the road.
The former Real Housewives of New York City star surprised her daughter Bryn, who turned 16 on May 8, with her very first car to celebrate the milestone, using Hertz Car Sales to make the gift happen, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
Last month, Frankel celebrated Bryn’s birthday with a sweet post on social media, featuring a young Bryn meeting Justin Bieber as a baby. “It’s the nepo baby’s birthday!” Frankel wrote affectionately in white text over the video.
Bethenny fully customized a Ford Bronco for her daughter’s birthday gift, decking it out in a custom light-pink wrap. However, there was one facet that made the decision slightly more savvy on Bethenny’s part.
Bethenny has been open about her love of cars on social media in the past. Last year, she took viewers on a tour of her favorite cars from her collection. She’s also the proud owner of a few vintage Broncos herself — which is why it makes perfect sense that she bought a certified used car, intentionally using the savings from the secondhand purchase to personalize it for her daughter.
Bryn is also a lover of her mom’s car collection (she’s had her eyes on her mom’s 1973 classic red and white Ford Bronco for some time), making the gift all the more special. The mom and daughter gave the new car its own fitting name: Bubbles.
Bethenny shares her daughter with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy, whom she split from in 2012.
The two have cultivated a strong mother-daughter bond over the years, with Bryn frequently appearing in Frankel’s social media posts. Together, the pair have participated in popular social media trends, including showing off their moves to everything from Meghan Trainor’s “Made You Look” to Beyoncé’s “Cuff It.”

Bethenny often humorously calls Bryn “nepo baby” online. In a 2024 TikTok video, Bethenny shared how her daughter had walked in to her room one day and asked her what a “nepo baby” was.
“Bryn just walked in and said to me, ‘What’s a nepo baby?’” she explained. Bethenny revealed her candid response to her daughter’s question: “I’m like, ‘Go get yourself a freakin’ mirror.’”
While Bryn never appeared on RHONY, she did join her mom when Bethenny filled in for Jenna Bush Hager on the Today show in June 2023. When co-host Hoda Kotb called her up on stage, Bryn shared that being Frankel’s daughter could be “crazy” because of “all of the stories and everything,” she said between giggles. Bryn also added that her mom was “strict.”
