Despite reports that he could retire, the reality star has been very active.
The American Pickers actor announced the news on his Instagram stories on Tuesday.
Mike, 59, put up a flyer for an event he’s throwing at Columbia Motor Alley, his shop in Columbus, Tennessee.
The evening of Friday, October 27 is when the airy-looking event, Dued Cruz in Night Columbia Motor Alley, takes place.
The flyer states that there will be live music, automobiles, costumes, refreshments, a trunk or treat, and additional attractions.
While the program is off, Mike is working on a lot of new ventures.
Additionally, he gave his admirers an update on Tuesday regarding the state of his restoration project at a Colombian home.
The History Channel personality revealed pictures of the home and his plans on Instagram.
“In Columbia, Tennessee, I began repairing an 1873 Italianate approximately a year ago for this old place.
Today is a huge day! She is receiving a much-needed top point procedure to extend her life by an estimated 100 years.”
Following this, the porch that was removed decades ago will be rebuilt.
“Excited that so much of this is finally coming together. Keep you all posted on her progress.”
Recently, Mike expanded the products he sells at Antique Archaeology, his antique store.
He also organized a Colombia Cars and Coffee Festival event at Columbia Motor Alley throughout the weekend.
On Instagram, he exalted the event’s success and disclosed that it was the biggest gathering they had ever attended.
Al set till to retire?
There is conjecture that Mike is prepared to leave television behind, given his numerous business endeavors outside of his long-standing role as presenter of American Pickers, alongside his brother Robbie, 62, who took over for his former co-host Frank Fritz, 57, when Fritz was fired in July 2021.
Danielle Colby, 47, the TV celebrity, is also featured on the show.
Mike’s close pal recently revealed to the US Sun that he was thinking of leaving the series.
It follows American Pickers, which abruptly stopped airing new episodes after experiencing its lowest-ever ratings.
“I have no idea how long the show will run,” Mike’s friend said.
“I’m not sure how long Robbie and Mike want to continue doing this.
I believe they would eventually desire to retire—12 years have passed. It’s a strain on your life.”
The friend went on, “They have been doing this for a while. It’s like, ‘Oh, we’re back on the road.’
When they’re around, I don’t have enough time to accomplish both of these tasks. Like any work, it’s a love-hate relationship.
There are days when you wish you could do anything you wanted and didn’t have that job.
You guys get excited about your work on certain days,” they said.
